Heavier than other thinner versions of the SL 72 we've seen before - our unique SL 72 size comes in a Reshape version that retains most of the core genes that made it a track phenomenon. A lightweight yellow nylon upper and aerodynamic suede tooling are a welcome return, as are the red three stripes that run through the sidewalls. A herringbone rubber outsole provides a sporty touch of color, while a slightly raised EVA midsole is a clear departure from its predecessor. The lower ankle collar is engraved with gold foil and has a smooth finish.
A slimmer version of the SL 72 than we've seen before - our unique SL 72 size is available in a remastered version and two retro colorways, spanning time and space from 1972 to 2024. The SL 72 is the first adidas shoe to feature the Trefoil motif and features the popular nylon upper and aerodynamic suede tooling; but with a raised EVA midsole to differentiate it from its 20th century predecessor.
The production of footwear consists of several stages, each of which requires care and precision. First the leather is cut, then the shape of the shoe is shaped.
The next step is to sew the fabric, install the base and attach the decorative elements. Hand sewing is one of the most important techniques in the production process, but thanks to high precision and experience they are more durable and resistant, so only the best craftsmen can do this work.
